The six lines
  1. Nine at the beginning: Treading simply. Going forward, no blame.
  2. Nine in the second place: Treading a smooth, level road. For the quiet, solitary person, steadfastness brings good fortune.
  3. Six in the third place: The one-eyed can see, the lame can walk; he treads on the tiger's tail and it bites him. Misfortune. A warrior acting for a great ruler.
  4. Nine in the fourth place: He treads on the tiger's tail with great caution. Good fortune in the end.
  5. Nine in the fifth place: Treading resolutely. Persisting is dangerous.
  6. Nine at the top: Look back at your steps and weigh the signs. If they come full circle, supreme good fortune.
